Restorative Dentistry
Overview of Restorative Dentistry
RESTORING YOUR SMILE IS EASY.
Restorative dentistry includes a range of treatments designed to fix damaged or missing teeth. One or more of these may be recommended by your dentist as part of your treatment plan to restore your smile. Sometimes restorative and cosmetic treatments are combined to achieve optimum smile results. Dr. Baker will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses both your oral health needs and personal smile goals.
Dental Implants
A NATURAL LOOK, FEEL & FUNCTION
Dental implants are a popular solution for replacing missing teeth. Implants are placed in the jawbone, and the bone and the implant bond together. This ensures it stays in place and offers a stable, permanent restorative solution. Your dentist will then make your permanent restoration—crown, bridge, or denture, depending on your case—to fit over the implants. Every prosthetic is custom made to suit your facial structure. Patients love implants because they look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

Dentures
FULL, PARTIAL, AND IMPLANT-SUPPORTED OPTIONS
Dr. Baker offers full, partial, and implant-supported dentures. Partial dentures are used if you have multiple missing teeth that cannot be corrected with a bridge. Full dentures are used if all of your teeth are missing or need to be extracted. Implant-supported dentures are, as their name suggests, dentures supported by implants, which are surgically placed in the jawbone. Implant-supported dentures eliminate the need for adhesives and also feel more natural than traditional full or partial options. All dentures are custom made and are designed to look completely natural. We want to make sure you are fully satisfied with your result, so Dr. Baker will discuss your options and work to select the best solution for you.
Crowns
FULL-COVERAGE SOLUTIONS
Dr. Baker uses porcelain crowns to restore teeth that need more than just a filling. Crowns are made to cover the entire tooth, so one of their added bonuses is that they hide signs of wear and tear. All crowns are fabricated to look like natural teeth and color-matched exactly to your smile.
Inlays and Onlays
RESTORATIVE TREATMENT FOR LARGE CAVITIES
An inlay is used to restore cavities that cannot be fixed with a simple filling. Inlays restore the tooth structure and seal it from food and bacteria. Onlays are very similar to inlays, but they are larger. They are used if you have decay that is too involved for a filling or inlay but not extensive enough to require a crown. Both inlays and onlays are tooth-colored and matched to the remaining tooth structure.
Sleep Apnea Treatment
SLEEP BETTER
Sleep apnea can be life-threatening and is increasingly common among both men and women. Interrupted breathing can cause additional medical problems, such as heart failure, stroke, and hypertension. It can also affect your quality of life due to lack of quality sleep and increased fatigue. Severe snoring can be an early warning sign of sleep apnea. Our custom-made oral sleep appliances help with both snoring and sleep apnea. These evidence-based appliances are a safe, effective sleep apnea treatment recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. They are best suited for patients with mild to moderate cases.
